Harmonizing Legal environment for SRHR PROJECT

As part of our advocacy efforts to ensure equitable access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services for marginalized communities, we actively engage and sensitize religious and traditional leaders in Northern Nigeria. Our context highlights the significance of traditional and religious institutions and the crucial role they play in influencing societal change.

These strategic engagements focus on the barriers that our community members face in accessing SRHR services and the impact of the religious and cultural hostility present in the region. Key outcomes of our sensitization workshops include improved access to SRHR services and a shift in negative perceptions held by the general public regarding sexual and gender minority individuals.

Importantly, our engagement with diverse religious and traditional leaders, both at local and national levels, has fostered dialogue aimed at promoting acceptance and understanding of our communities. This has contributed to creating a safe and supportive environment where marginalized communities can thrive without facing discrimination.
